PURCHASING MANAGER

Ensure all areas under the responsibility of the Purchasing umbrella are managed efficiently and effectively on a daily basis. Selects products for purchase by testing, observing or examining items. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price. Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid. Work with department managers to set up inventory and cost controls, process invoices, and examine quality of product and grade. This is particularly important with any perishable product.
